In today’s statement Donald Trump said: “The Iran deal is defective at its core, therefore, I am announcing today the United States will be withdrawing from the Iran deal. America will not be treated with nuclear blackmail”
President Donald Trump has been critical of the Iran deal for years, previously saying: “The regime remains the world’s leading state sponsor of terrorism and provides assistance to al-Qaeda, the Taliban, Hezbollah, Hamas and other terrorist networks. The previous administration lifted these sanctions, just before what would have been the total collapse of the Iranian regime, through the deeply controversial 2015 nuclear deal with Iran. The deal allows Iran to continue developing certain elements of its nuclear program and, importantly, in just a few years, as key restrictions disappear, Iran can sprint towards a rapid nuclear weapons breakout.”Mr Trump also stated he would be meeting with North Korea Dictator Kim Jong Un in his speech today. Only time will tell if this will bring the much-anticipated peace we all so desire to the Korean peninsula. It has come far from playground threats and name calling, but has Donald J. Trumps brash strategy worked? From the outside it looks like a United States President has finally been able to tame Kim Jong Un, but is this just another one of Kim Jong Un’s tactics or has he had a genuine change of heart?
The historic date for the meeting of United States President Donald J. Trump and North Korean Dictator Kim Jong Un has not yet been set.
