Ermington Drive, Cheetham Hill
The street was swamped with several ambulances and a swarm of police cars and this morning a large part of Ermington Drive has been cordoned off by police.

An eyewitness said: “I looked out of the window and could see four police cars and ambulances. A next-door neighbour was shouting. A policeman was knocking on doors. He said there had been a gun shooting and there had been injuries. There was a gunshot around 9.30pm, there was another one a little bit later. A window was smashed in. There is always trouble around here.”

One lady told of how she was concerned when hearing the gunshots as her baby was sleeping in the house.
