Police have been accused of using heavy-handed tactics after a 13-year-old girl was arrested today during a yellow vest pro-Brexit march in central London.
The protests have seen four people arrested including a young girl at just 13-years-old arrested on “suspicion of assault on police.” Many people took to social media to say the they thought this was extremely heavy handed and unnecessary in what was a peaceful protest.
The young girl has since been released but remains ‘under investigation’.
Four arrests have been made following protests on Westminster Bridge, SW1 at approximately
Three men were arrested on suspicion of public order
A 13-year-old girl was also arrested on suspicion of assault on police.

Hundreds of yellow vests today took to the streets of the United Kingdom in London, Cardiff, Sheffield & Manchester, Unity News Network also received unconfirmed reports of yellow vest protesters in Newcastle.
Transport for London was quick to take to twitter saying:
“We have very little details on the demo but expect further traffic holds and delays in the Westminster area.”
The protest in London got heated with a smoke bomb being set off
outside Downing Street, however it is not clear who set the smoke bomb off.
