SAS Hero Robin Horsfall: ‘Don’t let the Government sacrifice our veterans to appease murderers’

In the beginning there was the IRA.

Feb 6th 1971 New Lodge Belfast. Gunner Robert Curtis. Murdered by the IRA. Age 20.

Feb 15th 1971 New Lodge Belfast. Lance Bombardier John Laurie.
Murdered by the IRA. Age 22.

March 1st 1971. Londonderry, Corporal William Joliffe.
Murdered by the IRA. Age 18.

A further forty-five soldier died in Northern Ireland in 1971.
Murdered by the IRA.

This was the year before soldiers defended themselves against a violent mob on 30th January 1972 known as ‘Bloody Sunday’.

In 1972, 129 soldiers were murdered in Northern Ireland by the IRA.

Between 1971 and 1972 there were 2,404 bomb incidents and 12,387 shooting incidents in the province, 800 Policemen and 700 soldiers were injured in riots.

The murders and riots continued for a further twenty-six years.

Do not let the British Government sacrifice our veterans to appease murderers! Tolerance is not for the appeasement of the intolerant.
