Embattled MP for Plymouth Moor view, Johnny Mercer, is at the centre of another storm after a leaked letter in which he admits that George Soros and others are advising the UK Military on collaboration with EU armed forces!
Mercer was written to by respected veteran and Military Cross winner Trevor Coult and he has now shared a copy of the letter he received from Mercer.
Trevour Coult tweeted: “Can you explain how the hell George Soros is now an advisor to our military as laid out in your own handwriting @JohnnyMercerUK
Every time we give you the benefit of the doubt you f*^k up again!
Our Armed forces are not a toy or bargaining chip and should not be used as such.”
This is in relation to Mr Coult writing to Mr Mercer over the Munich Security Council agreement which sees greater military co-operation with Germany.
Mr Mercer responds to Mr Coult’s comments concerning ‘foreign influence in our military strategy’ by saying it is not an issue of concern and senior officials are in agreement.
He then goes on to make the following profound statement:
Although you hold concerns that the proposals were influenced by individuals namely George Soros and David Miliband, these persons are simply advisors to the committee who organise the content and direction….
He also then goes on to allude to John Kerry, senior Democrat US politician, as well as that of George Soros and David Miliband. Many of the comments to this tweet were one of extreme concern:
As of yet it does not appear that Mr Mercer has responded to these points and major questions continue to be raised about the influence George Soros and others now hold over UK Military thinking.
