Further to this morning’s email about Facebook’s attempts to stop us reaching people and our article we have been overwhelmed by the kind messages of support but also the terrible stories of what social media companies are doing.

As you can see below from our advertising account it has already had an effect with page views down and payments down to a measly £1.08 for every thousand visitors. There is no way a small media outlet can survive at that rate and they know it.

Lots of people have been asking what they can do to help, so without lying this is going to have a major impact on us being able to continue unless people support us directly.

We stress again and again however that if you simply cannot afford to donate or have already chipped in then please don’t feel guilty! Sharing our articles, liking them and commenting on social media is a HUGE help.
