OPINION- Boris’s Brexit without the exit

Our political class and their media mouthpiece branded the 17.4m as stupid and racist telling us with boring regularity that we didn’t know what we voted for trying to beat us into submission so we would wave the white flag and submit to their ultimate superiority.

So now we find ourselves more than 3 years on from our historic vote on our 3rd Conservative Prime Minister, the 3rd “EU deal” and forced into yet another extension period.

Boris swept in on his white charger, seemingly a Brexiteer leading the charge and taking all of the bullets and arrows from the remain Parliament and their Brigadier Bercow!   There were rousing cheers from the 17.4m at last we have a voice someone representing the majority, the winners of the Referendum  – but have we?   Has that mask now slipped?  Was this just a different strategy devised to take us to the same destination?

The “die in a ditch” has “died a death” the “flextension” has been agreed and signed off by Boris.   Once again the promised Exit Date has come and gone with another Conservative PM stating “not my fault gov it was the remain Parliament wot did it”!.

We see the removal of the  “Irish Backstop” BUT we have the “Transition Period” –  both mechanisms were designed to keep us permanently bound and shackled to the EU – smoke screen and mirrors to fool the public.

As we head into our third election in 4 years, it is time for us to firmly press the reset button.   This time we are far more educated about our politicians, having witnessed in full technicolour the level of deceit they would stoop to and the utter contempt they have shown us in order to try and overturn our historic decision.

Now is our moment we have the ultimate weapon locked and loaded  – our vote it is the only thing they fear, an exocet missile – use it wisely, it is time to hit them hard in the ballot box.   This is what would ultimately have been sacrificed if we had chosen to remain part of the EU Superstate where the unelected impose law.  Power without accountability a politician’s dream, the people’s nightmare.

The remainers desperation is reaching fever pitch so be prepared for the war games to be ramped up to the max, alongside a ferocious establishment campaign of mass media spin and serial political liars.

The No.1 fundamental thing for us all to remember is that Boris’s trumpeted “fantastic deal” is nothing of the sort – it is the old “Theresa May” EU Treaty pre-backstop which she refused given that it hived off a part of the United Kingdom.   This is in effect remain minus – minus our representation and with no fixed end date.

Michel Barnier has stated Britain’s future relationship with the EU will NOT be concluded by the end of next year as it will be a difficult and demanding negotiation.   He stated an agreement would be linked to respecting EU norms on the environment, worker protections and state aid in order to maintain a level playing field between EU and British companies.  The EU will NOT TOLERATE unfair competitive advantage.

Privately Barnier has stated it will take 2 to 3 years, with the summer of 2020 being the moment of truth on how far we have come and whether extension of the transition is needed.   We have already witnessed with the Article 50 period how the EU timescales are a moving target.   Ask yourself what incentive is there for them to give anything or conclude anything all the time we are a fully compliant paying member!

Under Boris’s WA Transition Period we will remain under EU rules, including both the common fisheries and agricultural policies, we risk losing autonomy of her majesty’s armed forces and be on the hook for £39bn.  If all of that is not bad enough it has now emerged that the European Investment Bank (EIB) can bad-debt the UK and demand we cough up half a trillion quid to bail it out.   You only have to look at the fragility of the Eurozone to realise this is a very real and dangerous prospect.

We will also remain subject to all new EU laws and directives and lets not forget we will have no voice, no vote and no veto – just imagine how much damage they could inflict upon our country in order to teach us (and others) a lesson should they even think about trying to leave in the future.

The corporate media will of course peddle this as Brexit – the Transition Period will NOT be mentioned as that would give the game away wouldn’t it?!

The Conservative party will be standing on a platform and a manifesto pledge of Brexit without the Exit, whilst refusing to form a leave alliance with Nigel Farage’s Brexit party.   Once again we see the Tories putting party before country.   It is very telling that the ERG have obediently fallen into line – a big part of their strategy of fooling the Brexiteers into voting for them.

Be prepared to be mercilessly bombarded by mainstream media with the threat of a Corbyn Government and the demonisation of Nigel Farage for becoming “the man who threw away Brexit” merely for standing candidates against the Tories across the country  – but as Nigel rightly points out what is being offered is NOT Brexit, far from it, so there is nothing to fear as we have absolutely nothing to lose.

It is clear the establishment are fighting tooth and nail to keep the two party system firmly in place, with both keen to keep us within of the confines of the Expansionist EU Empire.

We must keep our nerve and hold out for what we voted for an independent self governing nation whilst ensuring our politicians deliver on their promise to respect and uphold our democratic vote.  Vote wisely.
