Across the UK & Ireland there has been absolutely shocking footage of masked & hooded gangs carrying knives rampaging through Currys PC World and stealing at will as staff look on helplessly. Those involved in the raids appear to be speaking in a foreign language. The Grimsby Telegraph reports:
Shocking video has emerged of hooded youths raiding the Scunthorpe Currys PC World store carrying out armfuls of tablets, laptops and mobile phones in front of shocked staff.
The video shows the gang casually wandering around the store grabbing high value Apple and Samsung goods and ripping off security tags before escaping.
One stunned staff member can be seen behind a counter as the raid happens while another appears to walk past the witness filming the incident on a mobile phone. Witnesses said the gang had shouted threats at staff and customers.
The incident happened at around 6pm on Monday, November 4th at the Lakeside Retail Park.
Around five teenagers entered the store, targeting expensive tablets, laptops and mobile phones from display stands before making their getaway in an older silver Audi.
Two of the youths on the video are wearing distinctive items of clothing, one a bronze coloured puffa jacket and another a pair of distinctive trainers with a high contrasting white back.
Police are linking the robbery to similar incidents in Worksop and Leeds. The video also shows the raid bears a striking similarity to a robbery in London when a gang of youths invaded a JD sports store.
Also filmed, it shows dozens of hooded youths raiding the store in Tottenham and running off with armfuls of stolen clothes. That incident on October 31 triggered alerts at JD Sports stores in Stoke on Trent and even Cork in Ireland.

Witnesses to the Scunthorpe raid said the gang had jogged into the store.
Tracey Marshall said she saw a group of young looking men entering the store, putting their hoods up.
She said: “I was getting into my car and saw around four or five people wearing hoods enter the store at the same time.
“They sort of jogged in, which looked odd.”
Humberside Police say they men were wearing different coloured tops – a ‘camo’ hoodie, a black puffa jacket, a denim jacket with a grey hoodie, and a burgundy jacket.
A spokesperson from Curry’s PC World said: “We are grateful that nobody was hurt and we are helping the police with their investigations.”
“Thankfully no-one was hurt, but to witness such an incident can be very distressing and I am keen to trace these suspects.
“We are linking this incident with similar incidents at stores in Leeds on Friday, November 1 and in Worksop just a few hours before.
“I would suggest that if you see this group that you do not approach them and call the police first.
“I am appealing for anyone who saw what happened, saw the car, or who has any information about the suspects to contact us quoting log 505 of 4 November 2019.”
The video from Scunthorpe was posted on Saturday and has been seen by thousands of people, with 2,000 shares and over 1,000 comments on Facebook.
