Reports are emerging that Prince Charles is to summon his younger Brother Prince Andrew for a so-called ‘tell-all’ crisis meeting regarding the Jeffrey Epstein scandal. Reports in the Mail on Sunday are stating that the Prince of Wales is seeking a brutally honest conversation with Prince Andrew about his connections to the convicted US paedophile and the repercussions this is having for the royal family.
In addition to this Prince Charles was yesterday pictured driving with Sir Nicholas Soames, the grandson of Winston Churchill and the ex-Tory MP before having the Conservative whip removed for defying Boris Johnson’s government. However, a source quoted in the Mail on Sunday stated, “Charles wants to meet Andrew to discuss how best to deal with the ‘Epstein issue’. He has told his brother to be completely upfront, open and honest with him – and if there is anything else he thinks could come out. He knows how damaging this issue is for the family knows it has the potential to get much worse and is taking it very, very seriously.’
This meeting is being planned in the backdrop of tomorrow night’s BBC Panorama programme which is expected to contain claims from Virginia Roberts that Prince Andrew had sex with her three times whilst she was 17 years of age. Virginia Roberts, who is now 36 claims she introduced to Andrew by Epstein’s former girlfriend and their mutual friend Ghislaine Maxwell.
Prince Andrew is not expected to be seen in public until Christmas Day when he will be at Sandringham with the Queen. The Mirror is reporting that the boy’s father Prince Philip, 97 is furious about the controversy and the trouble it has brought to the family. Whilst it is not completely clear what accusations the interview contains. It is widely expected not to be positive for the under-fire Prince.
