If you turned on the broadcast media in the United Kingdom you would be forgiven for thinking there is a consensus within the scientific and medical community in regards to lockdown and its supposed effects on reducing the population from contracting the Coronavirus, however, a growing number of scientific professionals are speaking out against lockdown measures introduced by HM’s government.
Dr Mike Yeadon, a vocal critic of the lockdown measures has called to see “what is the underlying evidence” that the United Kingdom is heading for a second wave, he claims that “When you look at the data… at most we’re in a second ripple.”
Speaking on TalkRadio to the presenter Julia Hartley-Brewer, Dr Yeadon said: “I’m trying to explain to people and if people are listening to this and want to know more of the background my new article is up in Tony Young’s ‘lockdown’ sceptics, I’m not a lockdown sceptic for the first time I have been subsequently.
“I think it’s a dangerous damaging intervention that cuts across peoples lives and worse it doesn’t actually stop people catching the virus, they just get it later.
“So, I don’t think it saves a single life, but it deprives us of access to the NHS. Everybody knows that NHS access, they are trying their best, but they have been told for some reason to keep the loading of patents light.”

He continued: “Seriously this is my first claim and its true. They are keeping the loading on the NHS light which is why you can’t get the treatments and surgeries you want because they are planning for a second wave.
“I just want to repeat the strong request to Matthew Handcock and too Professor Ferguson, If you believe there is going to be a second wave, then you must have evidence for that.
“What is the underlying evidence that you are resting your case on, because you seem to think there will be one and your planning for it and depriving us of the NHS and you’re prepared to lock us down to avoid it.
“But I’ve looked and there is no evidence in the literature whatsoever and as Carl Heneghan said we are definitely not in a second wave at the moment.
“When you look at the date honestly there are more cases but for the reason, Carl Heneghan said I think at most we are in a second ripple.”
