Opinion- Build back WORSE! Covid19 is a Globalist Putsch

Covid-19 is a crisis too good to waste for globalists. Reeling from the coronavirus pandemic, governments around the world signing up to the ‘Great Reset’ designed by the World Economic Forum, with the slogan ‘Build Back Better’ appearing at press conferences. ‘Watermelon’ left-wing environmental campaigners use it, as does the CBI. For the unholy alliance of global capitalists and cultural Marxists, all their secular Christmasses have come at once. 

Tony Blair, one of the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse (the coming of the global technocracy), alongside mega-financier George Soros, computer salesman Bill Gates and WEF chairman Klaus Schwab, has placed his advisors in governments around the world. He is urging Boris Johnson to use the November lockdown to enrol people for mass vaccination. He wants the development of a vaccine to be speeded up by relaxing due diligence and accepting as little as 40% efficacy.  Blair continues to push for greatly expanded testing and a comprehensive database of all Covid-related assessment and treatment. The pandemic, therefore, is enabling giant steps to be taken to population surveillance. 

The UK is in danger of delivering Brexit only to find that power has been transferred beyond Brussels to unelected global authorities. Writing in the Washington Examiner (26 October 2020), Conservative politician Dan Hannan feared: – 

The old order is not coming back. The world that lies on the other side of the lockdowns will be colder, harsher, more pinched. Power is shifting to the autocracies. Even in the liberal West, authoritarianism is ascendant.

Yet the global elite will not win without a fight. Lesser mortals are realising that something dreadful is happening to society, and that the Covid-19 aftermath is an opportunistic power-grab (some suspect it was planned, noting the Event 201 coronavirus exercise run by the World Economic Forum two months before Covid-19 emerged, and US medical chief advisor Antony Fauci predicting a pandemic). SARS-CoV-2 is an accessory rather than a cause of the global reform agenda. Long before Covid-19, Western society was becoming embroiled in a culture war. 

It is very troubling for conservatives and libertarians to see how readily the younger generations have accepted, if not enthusiastically supported, the current draconian regime. There is much overlap between those who voted Remain in the EU referendum and Covid zealots: middle-class affluence (sitting pretty on full pay), trust in professional experts, socialist idealism and a cosmopolitan attitude with disdain for the traditional values of faith, flag and family. 

Brexit supporters, by contrast, are troubled by an education system that teaches national shame, a public service broadcaster that insults our intelligence with blatant bias, a politicised police force and governments that seems to do the opposite of what they were elected to do.  These people are more sceptical towards lockdown, and more likely to suffer from its dire economic impact. They want to get back to a semblance of normality, not to be digital slaves of a new world order.  

The lockdowners have the power and privilege, though, and through their control of the media and institutions a stranglehold on society. The bien pensant class, with its progressive ideology, has produced a puritanical offspring. As we describe in our book Moralitis, A Cultural Virus, a much more insidious virus has been festering for decades. Moralitis is a disease spread by memes rather than microbes, and it is the virulent means of transmitting woke ideology. Like the Covid regime, it is causing untold harm to the afflicted, who are too deluded to see the dark and dehumanising future that they are helping to create. 

Youthful idealism has always been a prime target for revolutionary movements. But woke culture is sham radicalism. It will not lead to a fairer society but instead consolidate the wealth and hegemony of a self-serving elite: the banking ‘masters of the universe’, corporate businesses who want a fully digitised market on their terms, bureaucrats in global institutions, and progressive ideologues in politics and academe. The brainwashed younger generation, however, will struggle to get a secure job or emulate the family comforts of their own upbringing. Their causes are detrimental to their own interests: open borders, carbon-free living and divisive identity politics. 

The long march through the institutions of cultural Marxism has succeeded in redefining truth from objective fact to favoured narrative, with concepts such as gender fluidity, toxic masculinity and white privilege. Who would have believed, a few years ago, that the biological status of woman would become a bigoted trope, to be replaced by ‘womXn’ and ‘people who have periods’? Woke youth is taught to be ‘citizens of the world’, to eschew national identity and to believe that only transnational bodies have moral legitimacy. Enlightenment values are tossed aside, as free speech means hate, and democracy produces leaders chosen by backward bigots. Identity politics are all the rage, with arbitrary and constantly changing rules on doctrines such as cultural appropriation, and offenders shamed on the internet. 

So, moralitis is a manmade virus. As any cult leader knows, the best way to manipulate followers is to deprive them of their reason. Wokeness reduces people’s autonomy and ensures their compliance with absurd rules and norms. Promisingly, there are signs that Generation Z may be more conservative than millennials. Moralitis is a sickness from which society can recover and grow stronger. The severe cases are impermeable to rational argument, but generally, commitment to the ideological absolutism is superficial and more due to fearful compliance than persuasion. Change will not happen overnight, but the whole woke edifice is a house built on sand. Like Soviet communism, another totalitarian system built on delusion, eventually it will collapse. For the sake of humanity, let’s hope sooner rather than later.
