Kate Shemirani legal fundraiser raises £40,000 in just a few days

Kate Shemirani is a well known face in the anti-lockdown community being at the forefront of protests that began last year.

She says about herself:

I am Kate Shemirani, Natural Nurse in a Toxic World. I have been a Nurse for 36 years. I am a mum of 4, self employed and a Christian. My love for my fellow man and children all over the world, drives me to stand up to tyranny and fight for our freedom,  which is now under attack.

I am being prosecuted for organising and participating in 3 anti-lockdown rally’s in London. All of these were organised by other people and I was just asked to MC at two of them and gave  a short speech and said The Lords Prayer at another one.

The charges are unlawful and unjust. I am now being persecuted and even prosecuted and placed at personal physical risk. Why? Because I dared to use my professional background to speak out against all of the manipulation and lies that are being used to destroy society and our physical, mental, psychological and spiritual well-being.

Wikipedia, on the other hand, says of Kate:

Kate Shemirani (born 1965 or 1966) is a British conspiracy theorist, anti-vaxxer and former nurse. She is best known for promoting conspiracy theories about COVID-19, vaccinations and 5G technology. She was suspended by the Nursing and Midwifery Council in July 2020, in response to complaints that she was spreading misinformation about COVID-19 and about vaccines, and struck off (with a right to appeal in due course) in May 2021.

Kate has been on the receiving end of extremely harsh and often vitriolic media coverage including one instance where her son was interviewed by the BBC’s Marianna Spring with many on social media describing this as extremely distasteful and infantile journalism. In response to the BBC piece Kate said: “From what I can see it would appear a ‘conspiracy theorist’ is actually now anyone who believes something other than what your controllers want them to believe… I find this deeply disturbing”.

On her crowdfund she states the following around financial aspects:

How much we are raising and why?

I must raise enough to cover all of my legal and associated costs as I do not have the money to fight this case myself. However, I am ready and willing to stand up and fight for FREEDOM, TRUTH and LIBERTY for every single man, woman and child in the UK and everywhere around the World.
The amount that is needed is estimated at over £70,000

As with many crowdfunds there are questions around funds raised and we reached out to Kate for comment. She has intimated with Crowd Justice that all sums raised goes towards her legal defence and is completely ring fenced. With this fund hitting £40,000 in such a short space of time it could go significantly higher.
