‘SYRIAN’ SCHOOLBOY refugee reported over claims he is a 30 YEAR OLD MAN!

The Home Office is investigating claims that a man who is an asylum seeker is posing as a teenage pupil after lying to British authorities about his age.

The man is thought to be around 30 with social media chatter saying he his a Syrian. He has been attending GCSE lessons at Stoke High School in Ipswich, Suffolk. Concerned parents alleged that the man has lied about his age in order to gain GCSEs so he can be qualified in the UK.

One Pupil posted on Snapchat : “How is there a 30-year-old man in my Maths class?”

Parent Lewis Forte told the BBC:

I went to the school to raise concerns about it and the teacher tried to shut me down by saying all his documents were present and correct which they probably were.

If he is a child then I am very sorry but I had a few children in my class who looked old for their age but this is something else. This is extremely concerning. He has told students he has had to lie to go get into high school to complete his GCSEs.”

Another parent said: “My son goes to the school and it is not a nice thought that this man is around children and sitting with them at lunch.”

A statement from Stoke High School spokesman said: “This is a matter for the Home Office. They are looking into this after we contacted them. We do not comment on individual cases but we have followed government and local authority policies and guidance, as we do for any asylum admissions matter.”

The Home Office assess the age of people claiming asylum in the UK by sitting an age test, where they are questioned about their past to determine their date of birth.
