The global bait and switch!

It gives me no pleasure to say ‘I told you so’ – but….   I told you so. Not just me but countless others who have been saying for months now that the forces behind the Covid narrative are also seemingly very closely aligned with those who want to force through radical changes to our way of life on the pretext of the ‘climate emergency’.

I do not wish to go into a long debate on the relative strengths of the evidence the AGW proponents and detractors cite save to draw your attention to the quality of the computer models that were used to generate the forecasts for the ‘pandemic’ were based on data that was collected recently and the sources of those data were open to be verified. Climate science bases its predictions on data that in some cases is hundreds of years old – measurements taken with equipment that was not subjected to robust calibration and yet seeks to make pronouncements that are supposedly accurate to within tiny levels of tolerance. 

If the accuracy of the Covid models has been shown to be wrong by an order of magnitude how can we have any faith at all in the climate models that are seeking to provide an accurate simulation of something as complex as the world climate with data that has gaps and unknown levels of error. 

I will leave that to you to decide.

What needs to be highlighted is the orchestrated switch from the Covid emergency to the climate emergency – almost as if Covid has been dropped like an old toy when a shiny new one arrives in the playroom. Surely by now people must see that the compliant mainstream media are no longer interested in what is true but what generates clicks and where the advertising revenue streams are coming from.

There is a trick in marketing called ‘bait and switch’ – it’s illegal but it still goes on every day. The trick is simple – advertise something that seems like a deal too good to be true and when those sales enquiries come in suddenly the deal ‘has just run out’ or ‘we sold the last one’….. ‘but we do have this one…’. Of course the alternative deal is not as sweet as the one you saw in the paper or on the internet but of course the customer is already in the mood to buy so any experienced salesman will have no problem selling the inferior deal to the hapless customer.

In this case the switch is reversed. The covid restrictions were truly awful and ruined many lives so if a new set of restrictions to your life which are not quite as bad are offered as a swap – well people will sign up. 

The economics is clear – if the Covid restrictions keep on suppressing trade the economy will collapse, this is certain. So if the world is now offered a chance to get on with life but with all these climate restrictions in place they will buckle down and take the hit, poverty under the climate agenda beats starvation under the Covid regime. Sadly these are the stark choices the world now faces and all to serve a phantom ‘green’ agenda that makes no sense whatsoever in the face of China’s expansion of fossil fuel use.   

I have written before on the nonsense of electric transport, the huge environmental cost of producing these new vehicles as opposed to ICE vehicles and the end user cost which will effectively end cheap and convenient transport for a significant sector of the population. 

The lunacy of converting a house once heated by gas to these modern air sourced heat pump solutions is explained in many videos on Youtube – simply type in the search term ‘heat pump conspiracy’ to see what I mean. 

Whichever way you stack it up – you will be footing the bill for all this, the government may use various incentive schemes to make it look like you are getting a good deal but in effect you’re being bribed to throw away a cost effective solution and make yourself dependent upon government aid. If you need a grant to help pay for the electricity to run these systems then what happens when the grant runs out or the government of the day cancels it…. 

The worst aspect of the current situation is that the rump of the population have become so compliant, so inured to the mainstream narratives that they have ceased to be able to question any of it, and when they do they are ostracised by the cowed majority. Having been scared into their homes, told when to go out, where to go on holiday and endured physical illness without seeking aid to ‘save the NHS’ then of course these new ‘essential’ measures to curb climate change will be no problem for the global cabal to sell to a bruised and enfeebled public.

The simple truth is – You are being lied to.
