Could next year be any worse than this year? Yes, it could!

Never a soldier went to war without being told ‘it’ll all be over by Christmas’. When I mobilised for the First Gulf War, we were told that we would probably never leave the training camp and we would soon be home with our families. I think, without such mendacity, it may not have been impossible to mobilise a largely reserve unit of medics and nurses who never actually expected to see action. But the Colour Sergeant assigned to put my platoon through its paces continually reminded us that ‘ladies and gentlemen, you are going to war’. And he was right.

We have been lied to and kept in the dark for nearly two years now over the true origins and nature of Covid-19 and are largely fed a diet of doom tinged with optimism (“it’s bad but if you do this it will be OK”). Like mushrooms—grown in the dark and fed on sh*t—we have been deluged with a series of worst-case scenarios (made to order by the government) and shielded from the true intentions of our lords and masters.

Remember the “three-week lockdown”, “squashing the sombrero”, “fire break lockdowns” and “save the NHS”? These, we were all assured, would see us back on our collective feet in no time. But none of these, along with mask mandates, social distancing and vaccines has had the slightest effect. The sombrero seems to take shape again regularly (if SAGE figures are to be believed), the NHS remains a basket case and we have every prospect of an impending lockdown. We continue to receive mixed messages about the likelihood of another lockdown. As I write, the latest announcement from a government minister—one nobody has ever heard of (Steve Barclay) is that further restrictions will not be required. Try telling that to secondary school students who are to be muzzled indefinitely.

Meantime, in fact within one week of the first lockdown, British civil society underwent a fundamental change. In one Shakespearian swoop we lost freedom of movement, freedom of association and freedom of speech. Look around you and see how many have been restored…none. The Common Law on which our freedoms were based which assumes innocence, free passage within our shores and the ability to challenge authority is severely attenuated. Freedom of movement is conditional (wear a mask, sit apart), freedom of association is severely restricted (show a vaccine passport, eat a Scotch egg) and freedom of speech, at least regarding Covid-19, if not impossible thanks to organs such as Unity News Network and a few others, is not at all possible in the mainstream media. Most of the British public have sleep-walked into the situation. There is no better way to convince people that their freedoms must be curtailed than to tell them it is for their own good. That and telling the biggest lies imaginable.

Most Christmas cards I have received refer to 2022 being a better year: “surely it can’t be worse”; “things can only get better”; or “things seem to be improving”. Well, I am sure we would all like that to be true but, given that the best judge of future actions is past actions and viewed from the perspective of a four nation country where three of them are, effectively, Covid dictatorships it is hard to be hopeful. The population of England, at least those with a voice—the intellectuals, health fascists and mainstream media journalists—are more likely to ask why we are not implementing harsher and longer restrictions and doing it earlier, than to say: “thank God we don’t live in Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland”.

The lies to which I refer above are manifest and manifold. Take your pick. I do not subscribe to the thesis that the virus is a hoax or, as one wing of the Covid denial camp does, that viruses do not exist at all. It is completely unnecessary to adhere to extremist and embarrassingly easily refuted ideas to see that lies have been told. Some of the lies include:

• Covid-19 is an existential threat
• Extreme measures (for example, lockdowns) are effective
• Wearing ‘face coverings’ (as opposed to proper medical grade masks) stops the spread of the virus
• Covid tests are accurate
• The vaccines are effective
• The vaccines are perfectly safe

These do not need to be refuted here. This has been done on almost a daily basis in Unity News Network, The Conservative Woman, The Daily Sceptic, OffGuardian, Politicalite and elsewhere. Spiked online, while being vociferous about lockdowns has been less outspoken about vaccine mandates and the former editor, remarkably, came out in favour of compulsory vaccination for health workers. It is hard to discern a ‘line’ as such in UnHerd (balance is no bad thing) but they have given voice to a wide variety of people, with an emphasis on anti-lockdown views, on their TV channel. I am pleased to say that some other more established organs such as The Salisbury Review are beginning to publish dissenting views on Covid vaccines. Of the mainstream media outlets, The Spectator and The Daily Telegraph while giving no space to the ‘anti-vaxxers’ have been fairly consistently anti-lockdown. Even The Times—usually the megaphone of the megalomaniacs in government—on 30 December published a couple of pieces which could be described as less than ‘on message’ with the Covid narrative. Amongst the broadcast media in the UK only talkRADIO and GB News have been willing to allow dissenting views on air. My good friend and colleague, a regular in the pages of Unity News Network, Dr Niall McCrae indicated at the start of the pandemic that when it was all over, everyone would claim to have been a sceptic.

But what can we expect in 2022? I hardly think you need to be Mystic Meg to know that further restrictions are on the way. We are on the ropes now being softened up with some body punches: “most Covid cases in one day ever”; “hospital admissions with Covid increasing”; and “ICUs full of unvaccinated patients” all of which are not true. Then our glorious buffoon of a leader egged on by our inglorious boffins is wont to exhortations along the lines of “enjoy the Festive Season but take care” and vacillation between “no more lockdowns” to “not ruling out further measures” in the New Year. My message to the nation is “start hording toilet roll folks”.

So, things will not improve regarding the pandemic, and it is hard to see an end in sight. At least it is hard to see an end in sight that will not be achieved without mass civil disobedience and even violence. Towards that end we are being inured by the sight of more military uniforms on our streets as the army is being deflected from its role of protecting our shores and foreign interests to the vaccine rollout. It looks as if soon they may be going door-to-door to hunt down the unvaccinated. How easily will the army’s role from ‘helping out’ change to that of suppressing the population in the event of a Covid uprising? Probably a great deal more easily than you think; ask the people of Northern Ireland.

Next up for 2022 comes galloping inflation. This is inevitable given the government’s propensity for printing money and issuing bonds to pay for furlough and the millions squandered on Covid related equipment. It has already started. As someone with no idea what a gallon of petrol or a loaf of bread costs I rely on others in my family who assure me that filling up their car with fuel and filling up our grandchildren with food is already becoming almost prohibitively expensive. All British families are due to take a massive financial hit next year according to the financial pages of the mainstream newspapers. This is no secret and I predict that by the end of 2022 we will all be significantly worse off than we are now with some people genuinely struggling to make ends meet. I know next to nothing about Bitcoin, so am reluctant to advise, but I have certainly started investing.

Finally, we have the Great Re-Set to look forward to. The mainstream media would lead us to believe that this is something that has been hi-jacked by conspiracy theorists, but conspiracy theory is a completely unnecessary adjunct to criticism of and concern about the prospect of the Great Re-Set. The aims and objectives of the re-set are hidden in plain sight. It is all on the webpage of the World Economic Forum and, while Covid was incidental initially, it now flagged as a major justification. They have been complicit in spreading Covid fearmongering across the globe and well understand that under the cloak of Covid almost anything goes in the minds of the public. After all, as my own detractors regularly ‘remind’ me on social media ‘it’s a nasty virus’. As for related ideas labelled conspiracy theories (and God help me I was one of the labellers) how about these from the start of 2020:

• The country is going to be locked down (“Don’t be ridiculous, we could never afford it”)
• We will all be made to wear facemasks (“Don’t be silly, everyone knows they don’t work”)
• They will develop a vaccine (“What? In that short a time? It takes years to produce a vaccine; and what about all the stringent requirements that have to be met?”)
• We will have to carry vaccine passports (“not the British way, old boy; that will never happen in this country”)

On the above I rest my case. The Great Re-Set, it is rumoured, will herald the end of private property (we will have nothing, but we will be happy), endless health fascism as a pretext for mass surveillance of the population, the end of hard currency (it is worth noting that these last two aspects are already being tried and tested in China), and establishing a World Government of the elite. We will have to wait and see what joys await us but when I hear the likes of Bill Gates, Klaus Schwab and George Soros getting together I know the outcome can only be for their benefit and not ours.
