The House of Commons Committee met on 11th January and has said the Petition is in a queue to be allocated a debate date, which will be as soon as feasible. This is because there are twenty Petitions which have qualified and are all awaiting to be given a date when they will be debated in Parliament.

So it remains to be seen when the Referendum Petition will have its debate, but clearly we need it as soon as possible. The UK Coronavirus Act is a terrible one and the sooner all traces of it are removed the better.
When the Petition is allocated a debate date, a MP Member of the HOC Petitions Committee is allocated to liaise with the Petition organisers and to be able to present the Petition to the House of Commons.
What happened with the most recent petition freedom lovers supported ?
This was a Petition on vaccine mandates for staff:

This Petition was debated on 24th January. There was a disappointing low turnout of under 20 MP’s and the government glossed over the points made. Although this Petition was accepted without a recorded vote, the government does not need to abide by it.
However, this Petition added to the pressure on the government and they have now backed down on compulsory covid-19 jabs for NHS staff. This shows that Petitions can play their part in ending government covid policies. This is exactly why the UK Coronavirus Act Referendum should be signed and supported.
This in many ways was a good warm up for the Referendum Petition debate. This will cover not just all the vaccines issues but all the other covid-19 issues. None of these have the British public ever been asked for their consent on.
Important to increase the pressure now!
We are so grateful to the many organisations and individuals who supported the UK Coronavirus Act Referendum Petition, and without them it would not have succeeded against very heavy odds.
Now we need to ask for help for one final big push to ensure complete success.
There is an important space of time now which needs to be used to prepare for this debate and to increase the pressure put on the government. Obviously it would be easier if the government abolished the Act in its entirety, but it is important to have a plan to deal with all options.
It is essential that the pressure put on the government is relentless, as they know their covid policies are being shown up to be reckless and irresponsible .
The more people that become aware of the Petition and sign it the better.
Clearly the number of signatories will still have an influence, even though the Petition is well over the qualification threshold.
The mainstream media have no- platformed this Petition
In contrast to the Referendum petition, the non- Parliamentary petition organised through change.org to rescind the Knighthood given to Tony Blair demonstrated the power of the mainstream media in making or breaking a petition.
There was every reason for the media to ignore this petition as it is widely acknowledged that it has no chance of achieving anything other than being a protest about the political record of Tony Blair.
However, media decided, en masse, to really push this petition .
If only they would promote other petitions, which at least have a chance, but they seem to want to have the power to decide which petitions the public are allowed to know about and which ones they are not!
To give one prominent example, the Petition to “Implement UK lockdown for preventing spread of covid-19,” which the government responded to on 19th March 2020 ( just days before they brought in the UK Coronavirus Act), had extensive local and national publicity. Indeed once it hit 100,000 signatures, it received even more mass media publicity, boosting its signatures to 409,474. This seems like a convenient set up by the government !

These media have yet to give the same equal and fair publicity to Petitions against the government’s covid-19 policies.
The Petition to have a Referendum on the UK Coronavirus Act is entirely newsworthy, even though the mainstream media simply do not want the public to be aware of it.
We can all try and put that right by questioning all the media, local and national, as to why they are no platforming the Referendum Petition? Perhaps the idea that the people should have the right to decide on such important matters , is anathema to them?
If the Swiss can have two covid related Referendums, so can we !

Again, this has had no mention in mainstream media and needs help to get over the 100,000 qualification line.
We must constantly remind the media and others in control of our lives that we have never been asked for our consent for any of this. Thus we must stand up and insist on our rights ! We already know that the UK government intends to continue with the UK Coronavirus Act in a varied format after the March renewal date. We cannot tolerate this ! Until the UK Coronavirus Act is completely gone, the nation will be subject to the puppet master control of the government and whoever controls them.
So our objective to be free of this tyranny is a most worthwhile one, which can be achieved by all working in solidarity.
