A serving Police Community Support Officer (PCSO) has been charged with outraging public decency.
PCSO Kevin Phillips, attached to the Met’s Roads and Transport Policing Command, will appear in custody at Croydon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 1 April.
The charge relates to a video which was circulated online and came to the attention of police shortly before 23:30hrs on Wednesday, 30 March.
The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards is leading this investigation and the PCSO has been suspended from duty.
A referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
Meanwhile a Metropolitan Police officer will appear in court this morning charged with five offences.
PC Swaleh Chaudhry will appear in custody at Wimbledon Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 1 April charged with:
– one count of voyeurism;
– one count of possession of extreme pornography;
– three counts of making an indecent image of a child.
He was arrested at an address in Wandsworth on the afternoon of Wednesday, 30 March.
PC Chaudhry, who is attached to the Met’s Taskforce, was off duty at the time of his arrest.
The Met’s Directorate of Professional Standards is aware and a referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
PC Chaudhry has been suspended.
