As the Conservative leadership gets underway it is vital that the contenders are questioned about whether they will change the Ukraine policy of the Prime Minister
With names coming and going in and out of the Conservative party leadership race hat, it is vital that the issue of the disastrous Ukraine policy is not ignored by thec contenders.
It is no good some of them saying they will continue with this policy. If they do they must be asked why, and in what respect is involvement in this foreign proxy war in the interests of the UK and the British people.
Now is the time for all of us to demand of the Conservative party and their MP’s, that at no time has any aspect of their policies on Ukraine and Russia been given any electoral mandate by the British public.
The old mainstream media do not want Ukraine to be a leadership election issue.
They want to decide which issues are to debated and which ones not.
The policy on Ukraine has had a massive influence on causing food and fuel prices.
The government has already spent £4.3 billion of our taxpayers’ money on arms and to Ukraine.
Meanwhile the British public are expected to suffer inflation and huge rises in the cost of living to pay for this policy which is clearly not in our interests.
The UK government’s involvement has worsened the conflict, all needlessly, as the Zelensky government is losing this conflict.
Another refugee crisis has been created and we have already taken into the UK over 40,000, on top of the thousands of other refugees the UK are taking.
The best way to resolve refugee situations is to not create chaos in such countries.
For those who are concerned about a genuine green agenda, rather than a false narrative, the UK ‘s Ukraine policy has put it back extensively, making the UK more reliant on costly, dangerous and mainly foreign owned nuclear power stations.
Now the government wants the UK to assist in the reconstruction of Ukraine and the Zelensky government is asking for billions, even though mot of the areas which need such help ( about 25% of the country) are in Russian hands, and they are dealing with that.
We need to prioritise the needs of the UK and the British people, as if we do this and are strong, we are in a better position to help other countries who might have more genuine needs.
What is particularly galling is not a sound has been made by these leadership contenders about the terrible betrayal of the Afghan people who were let down by the “deal” we and NATO ( USA controlled globalists)did with the Taliban. The Vice President of Afghanistan is the main head of the anti- Taliban resistance and his pleas for aid and military assistance are ignored. Human and women’s rights and real freedom are of no interest to the globalists who would rather spend our money on fighting their war in Ukraine. This is a conflict which could have been prevented and could end now, if the UK changes its policy.
Please everyone, insist this issue becomes a key one in the Conservative leadership elections.
Write to MP’s go on all social media.
They did their awful covid-19 policies without any mandate from the British public.
We must fight to make sure they do not get away with such dictatorial arrogance again.

Boris Johnson has created the distinct impression the needs of “Ukraine” are a first priority over and above the needs of the British people. However, it is the responsibility of the government to place the interests of the people of the United Kingdom first and foremost.
It is concerning that the policy on Ukraine has never been subject to major Parliamentary debate despite such policy affecting every single person in the United Kingdom. Minor debates about aspects of the Ukraine policy are insufficient due to the gravity of the commitment Boris Johnson made on behalf of the government (and consequently the people of the United Kingdom).
Furthermore, the public are being let down in the following ways:
- The major opposition parties are supporting the government’s Ukraine policies so are failing to ask those questions which are expected of an opposing party; and
- the Parliamentary Scrutiny Committees have failed to enter into a serious analysis of the benefit, or otherwise, of Ukraine policies in the interests of the people of the United Kingdom.
It appears that any serious questioning of the government’s position on Ukraine is prohibited – free, open and transparent debate should be at the heart of any democracy as without it there is no democracy, Parliamentary, or otherwise.
Increasing numbers of the public are unhappy with Government policies on Ukraine with seemingly no MPs to turn to because virtually every one has remained silent on this important issue. Those who spoke up at the start were quickly silenced by Sir Keir Starmer.
Ukraine was not an election issue and consequently no political party or MP has a mandate to make policy. The required mandate can only come from electoral consent via referendum. In the absence of such a referendum the United Kingdom must return to its position of neutrality with no arms for Ukraine and no sanctions against Russia – a position taken as recently as February 2022.
Instead of neutrality, Government has committed to over £2.3 billion (and increasing) in military expenditure for Ukraine from “emergency” funds thereby exacerbating the funding shortages for numerous Government departments to the further detriment of the British people. In addition, it has committed over £2.2 billion of non-military aid to Ukraine, thus totalling approximately £4.5 billion of taxpayer’s money spent without the mandate of the electorate.
The position of Foreign Secretary, Liz Truss, who stated at the recent Ukraine Recovery Conference in Switzerland that the United Kingdom “will continue to lead in supporting the Ukrainian Government’s Reconstruction and Development Plan” and that “[the UK] will push for immediate investment and to drive economic growth because it is absolutely imperative [the UK] get the Ukrainian economy going.” Further evidence that the economy of Ukraine is being prioritised over our own. Ukraine has stated they require a staggering $750 billion to rebuild – their annual GDP is only $160 billion!
The allegations of extensive corruption in Ukraine should not be ignored either – any funding to Ukraine should be heavily scrutinised and made with great caution. The use of taxpayer’s money should be transparent and subject to rigorous accountability and audit.
The Ukraine policy has put back the green agenda extensively and made the UK more dependent on costly and dangerous nuclear power, with most nuclear power stations owned by global companies or foreign governments.
The very real issue of the rising costs of food, fuel and many other household items in the UK must also be considered. Government spent over £400 billion of taxpayer’s money on ineffective and damaging Covid-19 policies and now the British public is experiencing an ever worsening cost of living of crisis and inflation rates are the highest in decades. This country is not in a position to fund Ukraine; they must focus attention inward assisting the people of the United Kingdom. It is obvious that the United Kingdom cannot continue with the current policy on Ukraine and Russia. It is unfair and is inflicting unnecessary suffering on the British people.
Most citizens of the world want peace not war – the British people and the people of Ukraine are no different. If the history of Russia and Ukraine is considered impartially, it is evident there is plenty of potential for peace. The Petition we ask you to support has been made necessary because of the steady drift, by stealth, of Government policy from small scale help to Ukraine, to ever increasing involvement just falling short of actually declaring war against Russia. This is reckless and dangerous, and all without a mandate.
The Petition does not take sides, rather it simply maintains it is in everyone’s interests for the United Kingdom to shift from a promoter of war to a promoter of peace and that the people should have a say in that.
