Earlier this year, in Nigeria, ATM machines were emptied and banks closed their doors to customers. The Bank of Lebanon has crashed. Silicon Valley Bank has collapsed. Silvergate Capital is winding down its banking operations.
Will these banking disasters have a knock-on effect across the world? The jury’s out.
