A Stoke-on-Trent rapist from the Midlands who had sex with a schoolgirl FOURTEEN times has escaped jail after a hearing in the Midlands.
18 year old Bradley Williams will be on the Sex Offenders’ Register for the next five years and told his victim not to tell anyone.
Williams admitted inciting a child to engage in sexual activity and raping a child under 13. He also admitted taking a vehicle without consent and driving without a licence. Now he has walked out of Stoke-on-Trent Crown Court after being handed a two-year youth rehabilitation order – which includes supervision and a curfew – and a 12-month community order.
Williams lawyer Becky Dulson told the court that her client had endured a troubled upbringing since a very early age. She said:
“It is clear we’re dealing with a young man who has difficulties. It is clear concerns were raised about him from an early age.”
Recorder Michelle Heeley made Williams the subject of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order. He will also be on the Sex Offenders’ Register for the next five years.
In sentencing she said:
“You raped a girl under the age of 13 and took a bike that was not yours, crashing it and causing injury. The girl could not consent to have sexual intercourse but you did on 14 occasions. You were told to stop but did not. You have spent your life moving from home to home.”
As things stand in the UK contempt of court can result in a custodial sentence whereas raping an under 13 year old gets you a slap on the wrist-this is British Justice.
