Algeria defeated Nigeria 2-1 in the African cup of nations to send them through to the final thanks to a clinching goal from star man Riyad Mahrez.
However after the win parts of London were then turned into a no go zone as from the country went on a rampage which resulted in a mob damaging a police car. Local residents also observed packs of fans let off fireworks, block streets and even climbed to the top of the fountain in Piccadilly Circus.

Speaking on the damage caused to a police car in north London, the Metropolitan Police released a statement.
“Some members of the group began setting off fireworks before the crowd grew as the football match concluded.A police vehicle has sustained damage to its windshield. Despite the damage done to the car, no arrests have been made and there were no reports of injuries.”
This comes after a Mother was killed and her baby left in a critical condition in Montpellier after being mown down by an Algerian football fan as riots erupted across France after their team’s victory.
The woman was walking with her teenage daughter and younger child when a car smashed into them. French Police used tier gas and large scale riots erupted across the country.
