Annunziata Rees-Mogg has denied rumours she is carrying out an extra-marital affair with Nigel Farage, saying an older man ‘has never been my thing.’

The married mother-of-two apparently nervously laughed when asked whether she had heard that her loyalty to the 50-year-old Brexit Party leader had been misconstrued by some as evidence of physical intimacy. Rumours have been swirling around the Westminster bubble for some time but this is the first time they have appeared in the mainstream media.

Her brother, Jacob Rees-Mogg, has been marginalised in the UK campaign over comments he made about Grenfell Tower which Tory high command have deemed ‘insensitive’.
