UNN can sadly confirm that on the 76th anniversary of the D-Day Landing the Cenotaph was vandalised.
This shameful act must be condemned by all, the Cenotaph is a sacred monument to all of the British and Commonwealth people remembering the fallen who gave their lives in the defence of our freedoms.
The vandalism of the Cenotaph follows after earlier in the day the statue of Sir Winston Churchill was vandalised with police needing to move in to protect it.
As protests turned to riots UNN has been keeping you all updated on the website, social media and YouTube.
