Kate Hopkins has BADLY let down her followers

She joins the old mainstream media trickery to promote the dubious “don’t pay” organisation :

Recently I wrote an article where I was perplexed about Katie Hopkins promoting the dubious organisation called “don’t pay.”

I emailed Katie Hopkins, as stated in the article, and asked her a number of pertinent questions, including whether she had been paid to do this promotion?

I also asked her if she would do something more constructive and promote the Petition to have a referendum on the UK becoming neutral on Ukraine?

After all, it is the government’s policy on Ukraine which is the main reason for the energy price rises, which is the issue in contention.

Like the old mainstream media, she has no platformed this petition.

This article on Katie Hopkins received a fair amount of social media attention, so there is no excuse for her not being aware of it.

There is also no excuse for her ignoring my email which is a very arrogant attitude to have and certainly not endearing in the least.

However, nearly two weeks after my writing to her, it was noticeable that in her video of Friday 12^th August 2022, that it was devoted to a very heavy promoting of the “don’t pay” organisation, much more blatant than before. Almost like a big two fingers to me and anyone else shocked by her actions.

To me, her first promoting of “don’t pay” was a surprise and disappointment.

There was, though, the possibility that there was a slip up, and that she had made a regrettable mistake.

She could have rectified the situation and restored the faith which her actions had lost her with many people.

That clearly was not the case, as she had been contacted by me, and could not fail to have been made aware of the other commentaries about the dangers of “don’t pay,” not just from me, but from other Unity news articles, and others, such as the UK Column news forum.

Her response, rather than be apologetic and humbly accept she had made a mistake, was to give an even more blatant promotion of “don’t pay.”

She basically reeled out all their propaganda, prompting David Clews of Unity News to comment that she “had lost the plot!”

So her further promotion of “don’t pay” was confirmation that her initial promotion was not an innocent mistake, but a headlong dive into murky waters irrespective of the consequences.

It demonstrated a huge disregard for the best interests of her followers, and an abuse of the faith many had previously put in her.

She was derisory in attacking those who had warned of the globalist connections of “don’t pay,” and insisted there was no alternative to their campaign which she was promoting.

She even said that if alternatives existed she would like t know about them!

This was flippant dishonesty as there are a number of alternatives in the public domain.

To name just two, Gordon Brown and the Liberal Democrats, have put forward different sets of proposals, and even the current Prime Minister has said the new Prime Minister will be able to enact plans which are already formulated. As for more radical alternative plans, Katie Hopkins has had the Ukraine petition sent to her, which she has refused to endorse, so she can hardly say there are not any other plans. She would also be aware that Unity News have announced an alternative entitled “don’t pay the right way,” a far more caring and responsible campaign, and one which is not anonymous, but up front and transparent !

For whatever reason, Katie Hopkins has decided to back a globalist front organisation which has dubious motivations and decided not to support the non -globalist approach.

It is perplexing to say the least.

In her defence, she tried to maintain she had been accused of being right wing on the issue.

I think this is nonsense as I do not know of anyone who has said that of her on this issue.

What I have heard is that she has let the side down though !

How can anyone like Katie Hopkins be considered seriously in the future if she advises people to back an anonymous organisation which no one knows anything about and which takes peoples email addresses and financial payments? More than that, they don’t allow people, once they have signed up, to withdraw their support.

Kate Hopkins has done the same as a number of old mainstream media organisations, and carried out no due diligence tests on an organisation she is recommending.

It is nothing short of appalling ! A disgrace !

It is also not impressive that in her promotion of “don’t pay” she used emotionalism and psychological terminology to justify people signing up for “don’t pay.”

Of course virtually everyone is distressed about the massive energy bills and are desperate. That does not mean that people should sign up to an unknown organsation!

She also was very misleading about what signing for direct debits means and what commitments to pay bills means.

She gave the impression that energy companies are “robbing” customers. They might be being unfair in some of the profits they are making ( but that is the government’s job to sort that out), but they are entitled to bill customers for the energy supplied. The high prices are primarily the government’s fault, not the energy companies !

I have written to a number of the mainstream media who have, like Katie Hopkins, been promoting “don’t pay.”

It is interesting that since then, and because of what I have said to them, they have started putting financial disclaimers in their reports.

A small number of media have advised against “don’t pay,” including commentaries on what Martin Lewis has said about advising people not to be involved.

Katie Hopkins has made no disclaimer at all, yet she has no idea what “don’t pay” are going to do with all the details of people who have signed that they will not pay their energy bills if there is not a major commitment to reduce them.

There are many things which are wrong with “don’t pay.

One key one is that it preys on people’s worries and vulnerabilities.

Another is that it gives incorrect information and false hope.

If it was honest it would admit that the primary cause of energy price rises is the government’s policies, especially the Ukraine policy.

Instead they give the impression that the fault lies with the energy companies, and this conveniently lets the government off the hook.

This campaign has the effect of slowing down efforts to get the government’s Ukraine policy changed, and it is nothing short of trickery!

The stark reality is that if we don’t stop sanctions against Russia and become a neutral peacemaker in Ukraine, the energy prices will keep on rising ( as will food, the cost of living, inflation and recession), and we will be in an untenable position. The government will simply run out of money, that is how bad the Ukraine policy is for the country.

The old mainstream media are refusing to mention the Ukraine petition, the same as they no platformed other freedom petitions over the last couple of years.

It is interesting that they are, like Katie Hopkins, promoting the suspect “don’t pay” campaign.

When the mainstream media promote something so heavily, it is important not to get sucked into the trickery!
