Over the last week it has been very difficult not to turn on the TV and see Mayor Sadiq Khan even through crime in London continues to ROCKET! His stunt about the Trump baby balloon has left many people still very angry and he has caused even more fury with his remarks on the Andrew Marr show about Brexit.

Marr asked: “There are people who want a second vote, a People’s Vote, second referendum on the final deal. Have you finally made up your mind and you think this is the right thing to do?”

Khan replied: “I have been quite clear, if it is the case that Parliament, our sovereign Parliament rejects the deal the Prime Minister makes with the European Union this autumn, there are two main options. One option is a general election or the second option is a referendum for people to have a say on what the government has done in relation to the European Union. I am not sure what other option the government has.”

Marr then asked if Khan would rule out or back a Second Referendum and he incredibly REFUSED to rule out a second EU Referendum! Khan said:

I may be unhappy with the referendum result and I am proud that London voted to Remain… What I am saying though is if the government can’t do a deal with the European Union that is satisfactory to Parliament. What I would like to see is our government do a good deal with the European Union. I would like to see us remain a member of the customs union and I would like us to be a member of the single market. I would like a cast-iron guarantee for EU citizens but also those Brits who are in the EU. I want a good transitional period and if the government can secure that then they have managed to get Brexit in a deal that is not too damaging to our country.

UK Unity Spokesperson David Clews says: “Sadiq Khan has presided over calamity after calamity. Murder rates are now higher than New York with Acid Attacks, Moped Attacks and Rapes also Sky Rocketing. The decision to allow an anti-Trump blimp to fly over London is the final straw for many and his antics in opposing the leader of the free world’s visit make a mockery of the entire UK and not just London that he represents. The fact he is such a hypocrite is what sticks in the throats of many people all across the UK. He is laying the ground for another divisive and unwanted 2nd EU Referendum that most people are against. He needs to be REMOVED as Mayor of our Capital!

UK Unity’s STOP THE BETRAYAL protestUK Unity will be writing to the Prime Minister asking her party to seek to repeal the Greater London Authority Act 1999 (c. 29) with her Parliamentary majority in order that Khan can be removed from office with fresh elections held. We will also be engaging in leafleting and other methods to take direct democratic action against Khan. Depending on sums of money raised we will play Khan at his own game in relation to flying a blimp over London mocking President Trump… we will seek t o do something similar to Khan!

We will seek to involve as many people and get as wide a support base on this as possible.The campaign will culminate in a protest outside Mayor’s question time on the 13th of September in London with banners, flags, leaflets and placards.
