According to reports it has been revealed that both Prince Charles and Prince William were unwilling to meet Donald Trump on his visit to Britain, leaving the Queen to greet the US president alone.
The first two in line to the throne let it be known during informal discussions about the arrangements for the president’s four-day trip that they did not want to take part due to their ‘liberal’ political leanings.
Downing Street and Buckingham Palace said Trump’s tour was not a state visit and that the only plan drawn up involved the Queen greeting the president and his wife Melania alone. However, a well-placed source said senior courtiers discussed which royals to include and shared concerns about Charles’s and William’s reluctance to participate.
A well placed source told The Times: “This business of Prince Charles and Prince William not being there for the Trump visit was a snub.“They simply refused to attend. It’s a very, very unusual thing for the Queen to be there on her own. Usually she is accompanied by somebody. Prince Charles has been substituting for Philip a lot recently.”
One Whitehall official who was intimately involved in the organisation of it said: “The Queen will do her duty, but among the wider family, they were not as enthusiastic as they were when Obama came over.”
Even on working visits, such as the US President’s, Royals are expect to meet with them. When Barack and Michelle Obama came over in 2016 not only had lunch at Windsor Castle with the Queen and Prince Philip, they also had a private dinner at Kensington Palace with the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Prince Harry.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had already decided not to invite Trump to their wedding. Markle had already been highly critical of Trump in a series of tweets about him.
Unity News Opinion- Her Majesty the Queen as ever is beyond reproach in her conduct and has served this nation selflessly and without flaw. However there is massive concern amongst the British Public about the future of the Royal Family with their ever increasingly liberal and controversial political stances. If this is true that they snubbed President Trump they should take a good look at themselves and remember it is the hardworking British Public that keep them in the lifestyle they are accustomed to.
Real change is coming in the UK and the Royals better make sure they either butt out of politics or make sure they are on side with the British People and not the elites or else support for them will COLLAPSE!
