The Brexit Party appears to be causing massive headaches to the Conservative Party as it continues to eat away into their polling numbers with many staunch Conservatives, such as Annunziata Rees Mogg, coming out for Farage. There has been a social media post that has caused massive consternation on social media now in relation to Mr Farage:
As you can see above this Tweet has had well in excess of 2600 comments where the author says he is depressed as Mr Farage survived the famous air-crash that he had implying he wishes he was dead.
Suzanne Evans, former prominent UKIPER tweeted “Will the Jo Cox Foundation and Hope Not Hate come out to condemn this?” As of yet they have not and there appears to be silence amongst those who accused Mr Farage of inciting violence against MPs when in fact he was saying they should be afraid at the ballot box.
Twitter is also heavily criticised for enforcing bans on people from a right of centre perspective but is very generous towards those on the left. In this instance it appears to be advocating violence but as yet has not been removed.
Meanwhile a shock poll has found that Mr Farage is the second most-favourite person to replace Theresa May as leader of the Conservative Party among Tory councillors. The leader of the Brexit Party was favourite for 15 percent of the 781 Tory councillors polled by Survation between April 17 and 19 as the next Tory leader. He came second behind Boris Johnson, who received 19 percent of the preferences.
