And so it begins on 8th December 2020 and to great aplomb from the mainstream media, a film crew exhibits to the world the first person to undergo the Pfizer/ BioNTech Covid-19 vaccination, followed up with interviews from a weeping Matt Hancock, Secretary of State for Health & Social Care.
But let us rewind and go through the events leading up to this “historic event”.
The media were on fire as they talked about who will receive the vaccine first and how it will be distributed. The one thing they aren’t discussing, however, is the definition of “effective” when it comes to these vaccines.
In fact it would appear that the much-heralded vaccine may not guarantee immunity or prevent transmission.
Kate Bingham the Chair of Patrick Vallance’s UK Vaccine Taskforce has declared in a paper published in the British Medical Journal “The first generation of vaccines is likely to be imperfect, and we should be prepared that they might not prevent infection but rather reduce symptoms, and, even then, might not work for everyone or for long.”
The grandma’s and grandpa’s who just want to hug their grandchildren and return to some normal semblance of life are it would seem being grossly misled by a calculated “hyped up” politically driven media campaign.
Clinical Trials
In early November 2020, Pfizer sent the stock market soaring when it announced its vaccine is more than 90% effective. One week later, Moderna — which designed its vaccine candidate in just two days — boasted a 94.5% effectiveness rating.
However, if you read Pfizer’s and Moderna’s press releases and other clinical trial information, you’ll see that they have left out some really crucial information.
- They don’t say how many cycles they used for the PCR tests they gave to count COVID-19 cases, which is crucial for determining the accuracy of those trials.
Odds Ratios Can Be Misleading
In an article published by the Mises Institute, Dr. Gilbert Berdine, associate professor of medicine at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, writes
The Pfizer study had 43,538 participants and was analysed after 164 cases. So, roughly 150 out 21,750 participants (less than 0.7%) became PCR positive in the control group and about one-tenth that number in the vaccine group became PCR positive.
The Moderna trial had 30,000 participants. There were 95 ‘cases’ in the 15,000 control participants (about 0.6%) and 5 ‘cases’ in the 15,000 vaccine participants (about one-twentieth of 0.6%). The ‘efficacy’ figures quoted in these announcements are odds ratios …
When the risks of an event are small, odds ratios can be misleading about absolute risk. A more meaningful measure of efficacy would be the number needed to vaccinate to prevent one hospitalization or one death. Those numbers are not available.

A Military Study found Flu Vaccine Increases Coronavirus Risk by 36% stating – vaccinated individuals may be at increased risk from other non-influenza respiratory viruses because they do not receive the non-specific immunity associated with the naturally occurring biological process”
Indeed, when it comes to safety, it’s important to realise that since only a few thousand verified healthy volunteers have been exposed to the actual vaccine, the real beta testers will be the masses of people who line up first to take the vaccines when they come to market.
Possible autoimmune side effects may not appear for months after vaccination. It’s worth noting that none of the trials currently underway include immunocompromised volunteers, so the effects of these vaccines on people with suppressed immune function is wholly unknown.
Do We Really Need a COVID-19 Vaccine?
Do the uncertainties surrounding safety exceed any “perceived” benefit? Lets not forget the stats 80% of the population are Asymptomatic (ie little or no symptoms at all).
Are we all becoming part of the Pfizer Clinical Trial?
A very good question given that Phase III of the Pfizer protocol includes a 24 month observation period of clinical trial participants for adverse health events.
Analysis
The politics surrounding this “virus” has been off the charts, many of the twists and turns I have covered in previous articles.
This is an experimental rushed to market vaccine with unknown health consequences.
I hope and pray that my fears are unfounded and no one suffers any harm as a result of the Covid-19 “politicised virus”.
Only time will tell.
