A man in his 20s continues to fight for his life in hospital after being stabbed in broad daylight outside the Ikea in Greenwich.
Police have now arrested two men in connecting with the stabbings.
Authorities rushed to the scene of Bugsby Way at 6.33pm on Saturday the 17th of August following reports that a fight had broken out.
Met Police officers along with the London Ambulance Service and an air ambulance rushed to the scene outside the new Ikea store in South London, when they arrived, they found two men suffering from stab wounds.
The first man in his 20s was taken to hospital where on Sunday it was confirmed he remained in a life-threatening condition; he is thought to have suffered multiple stab wounds.
The second man was taken to hospital with a signal stab wound and he remains in hospital in a stable condition.
Initially, police put out an appeal for any information about the attacks however they have now confirmed the arrest of two men in connection with the knife attack on suspicion of affray.
A spokesperson for the Met Police said: “Officers, LAS and London Air Ambulance attended and found two males aged in their twenties injured.
“The first man was taken to hospital for the treatment of stab injuries. His injuries are described as life-threatening and he is in a critical condition.
“The second man also taken to hospital for treatment of a stab injury. His condition is described as non-life threatening.
“A crime scene remains in place. Two men have been arrested on suspicion of affray. Enquiries continue.”
