BLOODBATH Triple STABBING during broad daylight RAMPAGE attack

Three people have been stabbed by a man who went on a knife-wielding rampage in a small market town, the attack took place in broad daylight.

Emergency services including an air ambulance, police officers and paramedics attended the scene of the horrific stabbings in Wigton just before 2pm.
The man attacked two men and a woman in two separate locations using a “bladed article”. Tow of the victims remain in a serious condition and everyone who was attacked was taken to hospital.

A witness who was terrified by the horrific events described one of the victims as “drenched in blood”, they said: “Air ambulance circling overhead, police and ambulance vehicles all over the place.”
One man has been arrested in connection to the horrendous assault, police have confirmed, in a statement, a Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Police are currently dealing with an incident in Wigton. 49-year-old man has been arrested following an incident where three people were assaulted. At 1.50pm it was reported to police that three people were assaulted in Wigton.
He continued: “A woman was injured on Church Street. Two men were also injured on King Street. All three are being taken to hospital. Police and NWAS are in attendance at the scene. We are working quickly to establish the circumstances of what has occurred and who is involved.”
A Police cordon will remain in place until police officers finish their analyses.

The woman who was attacked was believed to be spending time on a holiday in the area with her husband when she was attacked, a brave local business took the woman in after the attack and staff members tended to her wounded.
One of the staff members told the Mirror Online: “We helped her with the wound. It was a small laceration. She was very calm and on the phone to the police.” 
Local resident have been left in fear with one local telling the News and Star: “We had a message and were told to lock our doors and stay inside, it’s really scary.”
Another said: “It’s mental, you don’t expect something in a small town like this.”
The United Kingdom has seen a surge in knife crime in recent years, the nation has seen an 80% increase over the past four years.
In the year ending March 2019, police in Wales and England have counted 43,516 knife crime offences, however, In the 12 months ending March 2014, only 23,945 offences were recorded.
