Boris Johnson is facing an investigation into breaches of the Conservative Party code of conduct.

The party has received a number of complaints about the former foreign secretary’s comments about women wearing burkas, who he said looked like letter boxes.

The complaints will be looked at by an independent panel. A Conservative Party spokesperson has said: “The code of conduct process is strictly confidential.”

Johnson has rejected calls to apologise for his remarks which he wrote in a Daily Telegraph column where he also argued against a ban on full-face veils.

Critics have accused him of stoking Islamophobia to boost his Tory leadership ambitions but his supporters have said he was speaking up for “liberal values”. It is also thought he may face a POLICE probe over these remarks as well.

This comes as he has received the full backing of prominent Brexit supporterJacob Rees-Mogg. Whilst speaking on the Nigel Farage Show on LBC he told Mr Farage that “Boris has nothing to apologise for'”

Nigel Farage also said that Jacob Rees-Mogg had made his opinion clear and Mr Mogg thinks the Prime Minister has got it wrong and misread public opinion.

It comes after Prime Minister Theresa May called for Boris Johnson to apologise over his comments on the burka.

 

Former foreign secretary Boris Johnson has been criticised by the PM and other globalists for saying women wearing burkas “look like letterboxes“ and for comparing them to “bank robbers”

However, during the Nigel Farage Show  on the 08/08/18 he was inundated with callers phoning in to tell him how the burka offends them. They stated how having a Burka on gives you less of a change of assimilating into British society, Others raised security concerns and said how it made them feel unsafe and uncomfortable.

Its interesting Mr Farage also received calls from some people who thought Boris could have worded the article better but they agree with his point and would even go further than him and ban the Burka.
