The number of arrests at this years celebration of multi cultural diversity has rocketed by a staggering 33% compared to last year as over 400 people have now been detained. Yesterday was supposed to be ‘family day’ at the event which is the world’ largest but resulted in over 170 arrests with families fleeing for their lives.

A man was stabbed at the Notting Hill Carnival on Monday night as police made a total of nearly 400 arrests and seized 69 knives and other weapons including acid.

The number of arrests is up by nearly 33 per cent compared to last year, which saw 313 criminals busted by police.

 This year Scotland Yard implemented enhanced stop and search powers and rolled out the use of ‘knife arches’ at the event for the first time in its history to clamp down on the amount of weapons being sneaked in.

By the end of Monday night, police confirmed 69 offensive weapons – including 49 knives – were seized, including acid and a stun gun, over the weekend.

Even with the huge police presence, brazen festival-goers were pictured openly taking drugs in front of officers as they partied in the streets of west London for the second day in a row. As the video above shows there was also numerous scenes of Sexuality with the usual images of Police being ‘grinded’ by afro-Caribbean men and women.
