Controversial TORY Lord Ahmed accused in VULNERABLE sex scandal SHAME

Conservative Peer Lord Nazir Ahmed of Rotherham has denied claims he exploited his position to pursue sex with vulnerable women, including the mayor of Rochdale’s daughter.

Ahmed ‘completely denies acting ‘inappropriately’ towards Tahira Zaman when she was suffering from severe depression.

Ms Zaman, daughter of the current mayor of Rochdale Coun Mohammed Zaman, says an affair began after she asked the married dad-of-three to get police to investigate a Muslim faith healer in 2017.

According to the Manchester Evening News ‘In an interview with BBC Newsnight, Ms Zaman, 43, who was born in Rochdale, but now lives in London, said she feels exploited by Lord Ahmed because she was suffering from anxiety and depression.

She told the programme: “I was looking for help and he took advantage of me. He abused his power.”

Her complaint to the House of Lords Commissioner for Standards was rejected. A second woman claims Lord Ahmed, 61, asked her to spend the night at his home, the BBC reports.’

In a statement to BBC Newsnight where the allegations first appeared Ahmed has said:

I completely deny the allegation that I have exploited my position to pursue an inappropriate relationship with any member of the public (vulnerable or otherwise) or that I have acted inappropriately in the presence of women either in my personal or professional capacity.

The House of Lords’ Commissioner for Standards, Ms Lucy Scott-Moncrieff CBE, assessed the complaint and decided that it did not engage parliamentary inappropriate behaviour about me. She decided to take no further action.

I take my duties as a Parliamentarian extremely seriously and would not act so as to undermine my personal or professional reputation.”
