David Clews submission to the Advertising Standards Authority over FAKE NHS adverts

Hello,

I would like to make a complaint with regards NHS England and specifically in relation to point 4.2 ‘Harm & Offence’:

“Marketing communications must not cause fear or distress without justifiable reason; if it can be justified, the fear or distress should not be excessive. Marketers must not use a shocking claim or image merely to attract attention.”

As you can see above the complaint is in relation to Public Health Advertisements by NHS England. As it has been clearly proven in the aforementioned tweets ‘Carole Hildreth’ is an actress playing a part but NHS England have stated this is a real person.

This story has subsequently been used in national press: https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/uk-news/woman-says-stupid-mistake-saw-25926574, https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/uk-news/womans-stupid-vaccine-mistake-saw-25927051

This is based on clear lies and disinformation by NHS England and we have also sent a copy of this to them awaiting their response.

They have no right to terrify the public with actresses unless clearly stating it.
