A new bombshell survey has predicted that a fifth of business bosses in the UK are of the opinion that they will need to reduce their workforce by up to 10 per cent by the end of the year. These results come amid many areas facing increasing lockdown and fears that hundreds of thousands more people are set to become unemployed as part of an upcoming coronavirus jobs bloodbath.
This survey concluded that bosses of large and medium-sized firms, businesses in the hospitality sector as well as those in Scotland and Wales were most likely to have to enforce unemployment. Those in the most precarious situation are warning that they could have to cut up to 60 per cent of their workforce.
