The Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage has been visited by police officers who have advised him not to breach the lockdown restrictions after he travelled to Dover to expose the mass illegal immigration taking place into the United Kingdom.
Mr Farage previously told how police were last week “bombarded” with complaints that he defied stay-at-home orders over a separate journey to the East Sussex coast., further complaints were reported after he travelled to Dover, to report on what Mr Farage described as “illegal migrant scandal”, on Monday.
According to the veteran Brexit campaigner, police officers on Monday night knocked his door to advise him about the current guidelines that are in place around the United Kingdom during the Covid-19 pandemic.
Mr Farage wrote on Twitter: “Lockdown lunacy. Two police officers just knocked on my door to advise me on essential travel.
“They had received a complaint that I had been to Dover to report on the illegal migrant scandal taking place.
“What a total waste of time and money.”

It comes after Mr Farage, in a video for his YouTube channel, said: “East Sussex Police last week were bombarded by complaints that I’d broken the lockdown.” However, in this video, Mr Farage explained he had been carrying out “broadcasting” duties and described himself as a “key worker”.
Posting alongside the video taking in Dover Mr Farage wrote: “I witnessed first hand our Border Force acting as a taxi service for illegal migrants in Dover this morning. This scandal continues and people have got every right to be angry about it.”
