Fashion MILLIONAIRE makes MASSIVE donation to remain campaign!

One of the co-founders of the fashion label Superdry has donated £1m to the campaign for another EU referendum.

Multi-millionaire Julian Dunkerton said he was backing the People’s Vote campaign because “we have a genuine chance to turn this around”.

The People’s Vote, a cross-party group including some Labour and Lib Dem MPs, want a vote on the final Brexit deal. The government has ruled out another referendum after Britain voted to leave the EU in June 2016.

Dunkerton said he believes his brand, which he left earlier this year, “would never have become the global success that it did” if Brexit had happened 20 years earlier. His donation which is the largest they have received will go towards funding opinion polls.

He added: “I will be paying for one of the most detailed polling exercises ever undertaken by a campaign so that more and more people have the confidence to demand the democratic right for their voice to be heard.”

The People’s Vote campaign is hoping to get enough MPs, including the Labour leadership, to back a referendum on the deal Prime Minister Theresa May strikes with Brussels, which is due to be put to a vote in Parliament in October.

They have organised a number of events over the summer to step up pressure on MPs.

As part of the fightback from the pro-Brexit side the grassroots organisation UK Unity has started an Event on Facebook and plans to hold a protest in London outside the British parliament, The event is set to take place on the 5 September at 11:00–14:00 and start outside Downing Street.

The event on Facebook has seen growing interest of thousands, the description of the event is as follows:

“The people have had enough and UK unity says we cannot sit back and allow this Brexit betrayal so we must take ACTION! This will be the first Prime Ministers Questions back after the summer recess. Doing it at this time means we should also get media coverage like our previous rallies.

We need as many people on the streets to tell May we will not accept her soft Brexit! Unlike these millionaire elites whow hide behind polls we are taking direct action on the streets of London. This will be the first of many demonstrations and we hope to co-ordinate larger nationwide ones but we need more financial support.

We will symbolically block the gates of Number 10 before she leaves to go to PMQ’s then we will make our way to Parliament to protest while all the traitor MP’s are listening! Please share this event far and wide. UK unity will provide banners and placards and people are also encouraged to bring their own as well as flags.

Unity currently has over 20,000 signed up supporters and a membership base that is always seeking to expand. The founder of UK Unity David Clews has shown his discontent with Theresa May and the British cabinet over the way they have been handling the Brexit negotiations among other things.
