A former Humberside Police detective admitted to having sexual activity with a woman in front of her child and then making the woman send indecent photos of her ten-year-old daughter.
Paul Clayton was sentenced alongside the woman in Bristol Crown Court on Tuesday, November 16.
He was charged with downloading and possessing child abuse images, sexual communication with a child, causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity, sexual activity with a child and engaging in sexual activity in the presence of a child.
A woman aged 43, whose name is withdrawn to protect her daughter’s anonymity, pleaded guilty to two charges of distributing two photos of her child to Clayton, facilitating him having sexual activity and engaging in sexual activity with him in the presence of her child.
Judge Martin Picton said: “These are really serious offences. The harm on the victims will be life-long.”
The judge jailed Clayton for five years and the woman for 29 months.
