Sadiq Khan has used taxpayers money to set up a ‘violence reduction yet’ which came about after previous meetings at a ‘partnership reference group’ according to top political blog Guido Fawkes.
Sadiq Khan is facing mounting criticism for the selection to the post of heading up this elite crime fighting unit to fellow Labour Councillor Lib Peck. This comes despite gun crime almost doubling in her own patch of Lambeth where she has been leader of the Council for six years.
According to Guido:
A panel of eight carried out the longlist and shortlist for candidates for the role of Director, while a heavily overlapping panel of eight (six people sat on both) then carried out the final assessments where Lib Peck was selected. On both selection panels, six of the eight members had already worked alongside Peck designing her role on the Partnership Reference Group…

Not only is Khan underfire for what amounts to a political appointment to the role it is also the fact the she herself was involved in the entire selection process. She is woefully under qualified for the role and this appointment breaks many rules of political good governance. Opposition London AM’s have called for Peck to go now and questioned Khan’s integrity over the appointment.
Khan is the embattled Mayor who has presided over rocketing crime levels which appear to getting far worse whilst he is known for lavishing money on pro-EU stunts such as making the millennium wheel look like an EU flag.
