It has been confirmed by the House of Commons that the government intends on Tuesday 19th October, to have a debate and vote on whether the Coronavirus Act 2020’s temporary provisions will remain in force for another six months. This is what many people feared and is why more and more of the population simply do not trust the government.
It is essential to put more pressure on MP’s to ask them to vote against this dreadful Act’s renewal.
This means:
1.)As many as possible writing to their MP’s
2.)Lobbying outside Parliament on the day.
3.)Acting in unison in solidarity and signing, sharing and promoting the Petition to have a referendum on abolishing the Coronavirus Act. The more people who sign the Petition, the more pressure is put on the government to back down.

The Petition has already been signed by over 55,500 people, and not surprisingly it has been no platformed by the mainstream media. The government is terrified of the general public finding out about this Petition, and the mass signing which would take place if they knew about it. The movement for freedom and liberty can overcome such obstacles. If we are strong and determined, we can sweep aside any efforts to curtail us by the government !
We must insist, we do not consent to unlawful actions by the authorities who have never sought any electoral mandate for their authoritarian actions.

The House will be debating whether the Coronavirus Act 2020’s temporary provisions will remain in force for another six months on Tuesday 19 October 2021.
As required by section 98 of the Act, there will be a debate and decision on a motion, moved by a Government Minister that says:
“That the temporary provisions of the Coronavirus Act 2020 should not yet expire”.
If the House decides to approve the motion, nothing has to change. The Act continues in force as it is at the moment until 25 March 2022. On that date, any remaining temporary provisions will expire, unless Parliament has decided further to extend them in the interim.
If the House rejects the motion, a Minister must bring forward regulations to terminate the temporary provisions within three weeks. If it wanted to save any of the temporary measures, it would then have to pass fresh legislation to keep them.
The Speaker will only call a division (i.e. a “vote”) on the motion if there are MPs who oppose it at the end of the debate.
The section 98 motion mentioned above might be debated alongside other motions. For example, the Government has indicated it intends to expire some of the provisions of the Act, and this would involve parliamentary approval for the legislation that does that. You will be able to find out exactly what is to be debated and decided on when the order paper for Tuesday is published on the Parliament website. This will most likely be published shortly after the House rises on Monday evening.

The Petition calling for a UK wide Referendum on abolishing the Coronavirus Act has been signed by over 55,500 people so far and the momentum is growing.

A number of key personalities have been promoting the Petition, including Lawrence Fox and Martin Daubney.
In a tweet to his Twitter followers Lawrence Fox attached the Petition link and said:
“We won’t be free until it goes.
Please share widely.”
The Petition organisers have welcomed Lawrence Fox’s intervention, and lauded it as “setting an admirable example.” Other big guns in the freedom movement have also backed the Petition.
The Petition now has over 55,500 signatures with the numbers rising every minute.
The Petition has hit a raw nerve with those who are totally fed up with the covid-19 policies of the government.
Those signing want an end to the “ never ending story of Coronavirus Act renewals,” and are concerned that MP’s are due to vote on yet another such renewal on October 19th.
The behavior of the government on a number of covid-19 issues has inflamed people to such an extent that they feel “enough is enough,” and they want their say, rather than tolerate any further government platitudes.
The Petition is already overdue to receive a government response as the benchmark for that of 10,000 was reached ten days ago. However, the Petitioners feel that when it comes, it will be a form of fobbing off, and they feel the only way to avoid this is to reach the magic number of 100,000 signatures, when consideration is given to having a Parliamentary debate.
It is at this point that the Petitioners feel that the government will be at a disadvantage. If they turn down having a referendum, then they will be seen as anti-democratic and their credibility will be further dented.
If the government and/or Parliament decide to enable a referendum to go ahead, then the Petitioners feel they will at least have a chance of winning it. Crucially, they maintain that a major reason for having the referendum is to facilitate free and open debate on the subject, something they feel has been denied to them since the government passed the Coronavirus Act at the end of March 2020.
The Petitioners hope that the Petition will put pressure on the government to decide to not to renew the Coronavirus Act and to abolish it immediately with no temporary or exceptional extensions.
Alongside that, it is hoped that because of the linkage to the Public Health ( Control of Diseases) Act 1984 and the Civil Contingences Act 2004, that they are given urgent review and change.
It is true that the Public Health Act is the cause of some of the lockdown measures but it is felt that the domino theory will operate- that once the Coronavirus Act is abolished, so too will the Public Health Act be radically reformed.

The Petitioners believe that the government’s actions since the start of the pandemic have been effectively illegal and they have never sought the democratic consent of the people for what they have done.
They feel this Petition flies a banner of solidarity and unison among all those who have striven for freedom since the start of this crisis nineteen months ago.
