A huge story appears to have gone largely undetected under cover of the chaos of the “Covid 19 pandemic and BLM/Antifa riots” and that is:-
Dozens of scientists were fired or resigned as the U.S. government tries to root out suspected Chinese espionage from American universities and laboratories.
The National Institutes of Health has revealed that 54 scientists have lost their jobs over a failure to disclose financial ties to foreign governments. 93% of those cases involved funding from a Chinese institution, according to Michael Lauer, the Deputy Director for Extramural Research at NIH.
NIH had previously provided some information on the scope of their investigation, which had targeted 189 scientists at 87 institutions. This followed an effort launched in August 2018 that has roiled the U.S. biomedical community and resulted in criminal charges being brought against some very prominent researchers, including Charles Lieber, Chair of Harvard University’s Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology. NIH Director Francis Collins called the data “sobering.”
Some 70% of the researchers had failed to disclose to NIH the receipt of a foreign grant, and 54% failed to disclose participation in a foreign talent program. 5% of cases involved a violation of NIH’s peer-review system.
The 285 active grants totalled $165 million. A majority of those being investigated are Asian because that is who the Chinese target in their foreign talent recruitment programs.
There are 399 scientists “of possible concern” to NIH, of that pool, Lauer said, investigations into 256 scientists, came out “positive.”

The Daily Mail reported that it has uncovered documents showing that Anthony Fauci’s NIAID gave $3.7 million to scientists at the Wuhan Lab at the centre of Coronavirus leak scrutiny. According to the British paper,
“The federal grant funded experiments on bats from the caves where the virus is believed to have originated”
Following the 2002-2003 SARS coronavirus outbreak, NIH a collaboration by Chinese scientists, US military virologists from the bioweapons lab at Ft. Detrick and NIH scientists from the NIAID to prevent future coronavirus outbreaks by studying the evolution of virulent strains from bats in human tissues.
Those efforts included “gain of function” research that used a process called “accelerated evolution” to create Covid Pandemic superbugs; enhanced bat borne Covid mutants more lethal and more transmissable than wild COVID. Fauci’s studies alarmed scientists around the world who complained, according to a Dec 2017 NY Times article that:
“These researchers risk creating a monster germ that could escape the lab and seed a pandemic”
Dr. Mark Lipsitch of the Harvard School of Public Health’s Communicable Disease Centre told the Times that Dr. Fauci’s NIAID experiments “have given us some modest scientific knowledge and done almost nothing to improve our preparedness for pandemic, and yet risked creating an accidental pandemic”
In October 2014, following a series of Federal laboratory mishaps that narrowly missed releasing these deadly engineered viruses, President Obama ordered a halt to all federal funding for Dr. Fauci’s dangerous experiments.
It now appears that Fauci may have dodged the federal restrictions by shifting the research to the military lab in Wuhan.
