An official Labour party report has said that a Labour British Government should make ‘woke’ payments to countries once ruled by the British Empire as a means of apologising for colonialism. The Labour leadership have sought to distance him from the report and have blamed the proposals on the hard-Left followers of Jeremy Corbyn.
The report is called ‘Remaking Of The British State: For The Many, Not The Few’ and has argued the UK should make reparation payments to its former colonies as well as ‘an unreserved apology to all of the countries of the world that the Empire invaded and negatively impacted’.
The report is 234-pages long and has been published by Sean Patrick Griffin who is the Labour Party’s external governance officer. This report seems to be a clear juxtaposition to Sir Keir’s reported plans to rebrand the party as patriotic agenda. The report is subtitled ‘Produced on behalf of the Labour Party’. The report also calls for the abolition of government trade union laws which would allow for the return of flying pickets and general strikes as well as the abolition of ‘all of the trappings and add-ons of the Monarchy’.
One of Sir Kier Starmer’s allies has been reported in the Daily Mail as saying: ‘The last leadership were always getting reports like this written in order to keep their friends happy. Fortunately, that’s not Labour’s approach anymore’. An official Labour source has said: ‘This report was commissioned by the previous Labour leadership. It does not reflect party policy’.
