MAJOR incident declared at medial centre in Bletchley after eight people attacked

A ‘major incident’ has been declared at the medical centre in Bletchley near Milton Keynes following the assault of eight patients and staff. Police responded to a call from the Parkside Medical Centre at 9am on Monday (20 January). The initial call was for four members of staff and four members of the public were assaulted. The centre has stated that three of the victims were taken to hospital. However, none of the injuries are understood to be life-threatening.

Thames Valley Police have released a statement that says  a man has been arrested on suspicion of multiple assaults. The medical centre has been closed until further notice. In addition to this, measures are being put in place to offer support to anyone affected by the incident. The medical centre released an urgent notice on their website and social media pages, it said: “We have had a major incident this morning and the practice will therefore be closed until further notice. Please be patient, we will contact you as soon as we can to re-schedule your appointment. Please contact your local Pharmacy or 111 for medical advice.”

No description has been provided regarding the profile of the attacker. The attack has caused significant uproar on social media with one user  going by the twitter handle @actiontiff stating “Major incident been declared at Bletchley medical centre how far has the UK to fall before someone has the bollocks to take charge. Military Coup ?? Do we have any military with those kind ??”.
