THOSE who champion medical apartheid, by their silence as well as vocally, fail to comprehend that the ruinous costs of segregation will ultimately be borne by all in society, not simply by the unvaccinated.
Escaping direct prohibitions on liberty shall, in the end, prove futile for the vaccinated, as they shall merely end up impaled on the social, economic, familial, psychological, and political fallout of a society they helped re-engineer – misguided in their pursuit of normality – to run on the discrimination which shall paradoxically cause its collapse.
Those who invested their faith in a product which not only does not work but which can, nonetheless, cause the expiry of their free-citizen status, won’t ever be able to savour the rewards contingent upon being ‘fully vaccinated’ without this status needing to be rebooted with the ever latest dose. They are in for a severe shock once they realise their ‘rewards’ lose all meaning and pleasure when experienced within the tense framework of a two-tier society.
Projecting into the future the narrative we have experienced since March 2020, unless we take a stand against all Covid-19 mandates immediately, Johnson’s storm clouds, now hanging over us in perpetuity, will become like a coffin lid.
Under apartheid, children will have fewer friends, a smaller pool of peers from which to draw friendship, love and support; unvaccinated youngsters will be taught separately or, in the worst-case scenario, permanently schooled at home via online teaching only, if that; inter-vaccine-status friendships outside school will for the most part wither and die.
As teenagers and young adults, unless they find the penalties of their status too hard to endure and so succumb to the jab, they will find themselves in one of only two tribes – the accepted or the outcasts, the latter punished by bullying and demonising or banned from society altogether. Opportunities for the two groups to mix in any meaningful way will be rare both inside and outside conventional institutional settings. Thus fear will be engendered, each ‘side’ terrified of the other. Intimidation and persecution will flourish, and we know precisely on which side shall be identified ‘witches’.
Those who don’t yet see anything to fear are in for a hard lesson as their own families become riven by discord: it is already happening.
We will see families disown their own offspring, or young people turning informers, denouncing their parents in the name of fear, hypochondria and faux patriotic duty, in tune with the paranoia that drove compliance with lockdown. It has happened before in Europe and it can happen again.
Communities and families will fall apart. Siblings, unable to find common moral or philosophical ground, will see their bonds dissolve and disown each other. The same will be the fate of lifelong friends. Even for the compliant, the ability to visit overseas relatives and friends, regardless of eithers’ status, will become convoluted to the point of impossibility: both held equally hostage to the accelerated discriminatory travel and quarantine laws of both their own state and the destination state, as is already happening.
In a world designed around segregation, small businesses will fold as they come face-to-face with the brutal realities of the discriminatory staffing and customer policies they are forced to impose. The great British boozer – just about the only remaining totem of our former liberty, and already on the precipice – will see its spirit crushed entirely. A place exclusive to the vaccinated will be bled dry of any charm and character until even they opt to stay at home and drink in front of the television rather than rub shoulders with carbon-copies of themselves. One’s partner will become one’s landlord; the TV one’s drinking companion.
And what of the elderly under apartheid? Now accustomed to abandonment, endless booster requirements will keep their relatives, gradually programmed into forgetting them, at bay. They will be condemned to an unmonitored, diminished level of care and an early death, aided by the now routine ‘do not resuscitate’ note and a dose of government-purchased midazolam. Or perhaps, perversely, they may fare better than most under apartheid, so well-schooled they now are in suffering in silence.
Only the elite will profit from all this, safe in their oases of wealth and privilege, free to travel by private jet and superyacht. For everyone else used to a far less comprehensive palette of opportunity, the implications are catastrophic.
For those expecting salvation via their faithful obedience to the Zero-Covid Papacy, there’s a rude awakening ahead. As one country after another institutionalises this segregation unchallenged and unchecked, with neither domestic nor international condemnation, the believers will prove themselves to have been not just double-jabbed but double-brainwashed too.
Apartheid won’t be black and white: the peaceful vaccinated and the tyrannised unvaccinated. It will be an endless palette of ruinous socio-political greys that shall crush everyone, regardless of health status.
