Detectives from the Met’s Counter Terrorism Command have arrested a 31-year-old man in south London on suspicion of encouragement of terrorism, contrary to section 1 of the Terrorism Act 2006.
The man was arrested at 12:25hrs on Wednesday, 17 June under the Police and Criminal Evidence Act and taken into custody to a south London police station where he has been detained.
Police are currently searching an address in south London.
Enquiries are ongoing.
