The Netherlands has seen a third night of riots overnight as  hundreds of people clashed with police. The scenes, which have seen fires, looted shops and overturned cars across the country have followed a government imposed night-time curfew.

Rotterdam witnessed considerable disturbances as police have said they were subjected to up to 200 people throwing rocks and fireworks at officers as well as an attempt to set a police station on fire. A water cannon deployed to deal with the protestors. Commanders in the city have said that at least 50 people have been arrested.
