With the endless onslaught of cancel culture sweeping the western world one would be forgiven in forgetting all the amazing things the United Kingdom has achieved in her long history, we often only hear about the tragedy and suffering brought about by the hands of Britain’s ancestors so I thought it would be valuable to write about some of the amazing things the United Kingdom and her people have done to make the world a better place for everyone.
Going back to the Roman era when the then ‘Britannia’ was looked at with a great sense of mystery by the Roman invaders, despite the misery and dismay the Roman legions must have brought to the tribes of the British shores one could never take away from the new towns, plants, animals, a new religion and ways of reading and counting they gave ancient Britons.
