Dear Readers,
Unity News Network is absolutely appalled and sickened by the indiscriminate terror attack that has seen 49 Muslim worshippers dead in New Zealand Mosques. Quite rightly the majority of decent people have refused to share and show this footage and completely condemned the motives behind the attack.
Terrorism and indiscriminate killing are never excusable and whether it is the killing of Christians in Pakistan and Egypt, club goers in Orlando or everyday people in the streets of France we must condemn to unite it.
Many political figures and media outlets are using today to score cheap political points and play guilt by association by linking this attack to popular YouTuber PewDiePie and President Donald Trump. Individuals must be held accountable for their actions as must radical hate preachers who advocate violence and use people for their own aims.
However, when people start to push an agenda to attack political opinions for their own agenda then they lose all credibility and standing. Likewise these times expose the double standards and hypocrisy that lies at the heart of Government and the Establishment.
Many people continue to be concerned about the issue of Mass Immigration, Islamic Extremism and of course Fascist Extremism. If we do not debate and look at these topics in a serious and adult way then it will result in more extremism and more people pushed to the fringes of society. Robust and healthy debate are the hallmark of a free society and we must allow freedom of speech to continue whilst being able to condemn and separate this from outright extremism and hatred.
Today is not for point scoring and we offer our condolences to the families of all those grieving today and all those around the world who have been affected by terror, hatred and extremism.
