Piers Morgan has been ridiculed on social media for claiming that Prime Minister Johnson should enlist the help of all the living former Prime Ministers.
Taking to Twitter to voice his concerns, Good Morning Britain show host Mr Morgan wrote: “The Government is clearly overwhelmed at the moment, for understandable reasons.
“Part of the problem is their collective lack of experience. Boris Johnson should invite all former Prime Ministers – Major, Blair, Brown, Cameron & May – to form a crisis team to help & advise him.”

However, not everyone on the social media platform felt the same way leading to some heated replied with a couple of choice words. One Twitter user going by the handle MARV replied to Mr Morgan saying: “F***ing hell you really have lost it piers , invite Blair and brown back, as if things weren’t bad enough and give your head a wobble son”.
Felonius Antonius replied to Piers saying: “Piers Morgan is like a man in a blazing theatre loudly shouting ‘Fire! Fire! Fire!’ long after everyone has heard the fire alarms and is proceeding to the fire exits in an orderly fashion.”
One user called Kate attempted to changed Mr Morgan’s outlook with reason, she said: “You’re suggesting this because they have so much experience in dealing with a pandemic??? There is no blueprint for this, and the UK media is part of the problem with their constant negativity. Our Government are doing as good as, if not better, than most other countries.”
Alan Szwarc, who self-confessed agreed with Piers on a lot of issues wrote: “This is the first time I’ve questioned your logic during this. Did any of the names you’ve mentioned have to tackle a global pandemic during their leadership terms?”
Many accused Mr Morgan of being out of touch with Gary Turner writing: “That’s comedy gold Piers. Blair took us to an illegal war, Cameron couldn’t even stand up to his own party, May was inept and embarrassing and prior to being PM destroyed so many important things….do I need to go on!?”
Other went even further asking if Piers was on drugs when he posted the Tweet, “Are you on crack, Ego Blair chose to go to war, screwed up the UK on many levels and the truth continues to elude him. Brown chose to sell off the pension pot and gold at rock bottom prices, Cameron ran away, Major and May lied and screwed the country,” Mark wm Oliver responded.
