The West Midlands Police have launched an investigation following a shooting in Handsworth yesterday afternoon (14 March).
Officers were called to Grove Lane at around 4.30pm after a 17-year-old boy was shot in the buttocks.
The teenager has been taken to hospital in a stable condition with injuries that are nit thought to be life threatening police confirmed.
The West Midlands Police are urging anyone with any information about what happened to get in touch with them as soon as possible.
Detective Inspector Nick Barnes, from our force CID, said: “This is a shocking act of violence on our streets, which is completely unacceptable.
“We’re doing all we can to understand what has happened, why and who was responsible.
“I’d encourage anyone who know anything to get in touch please.”
